The Opportunity

Counter Context has an opportunity for an Operations and Project Assistant to support our growing team of communications and PR professionals. Our team currently work on some of the most exciting property, energy and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Based in our main Sheffield office, the Operations and Project Assistant will provide an office support role in running our Sheffield, Manchester and London offices, supporting the Account Delivery Team across all current client projects. We are looking for someone who is hard working, enthusiastic, willing to learn and has a positive attitude.

The Role

Account Team Support:

  • Event Planning and Support - Help organising venues, catering, AV equipment and general planning and logistics.

  • Postal and electronic mailouts - Helping the team with large mailouts, creating mail merges from Address software and sending electronic mail via Campaign Monitor.

  • Research - Assisting with ad-hoc research on industry trends, key stakeholders, etc.

  • Data entry-Recording feedback and updating mailing lists.

  • Media and social media monitoring-Using our media monitoring platform to analyse data and to send weekly updates to clients

Office and operational support

  • Organising the team - Diary management, taking notes at team meetings.

  • Front of house - Answering the main reception phone, greeting clients, escorting them to the correct meeting space and providing refreshments.

  • Organisation of the office - Maintaining the organisation of cupboards, minor errands for supplies and managing the confidential waste and recycling

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated and have a willingness to learn new tasks.

  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written.

  • Good understanding of IT literacy and technology, office and social media platforms.

  • A proactive, flexible and can-do attitude

We will also consider candidates who would like to complete their L3 business administration apprenticeship.
For candidates in this position, you will spend one day per month at Sheffield college and the rest of the month developing your practical skills and knowledge on the job.
